...does not kill all monsters on map. It kills most of them, but usually leave several creatures. Once I had to type killall three times until everyone was dead (on 4th it said "0 monsters killed" at last).

There is a similar thing in ZDoom, the kill monsters command just kills monsters that count for the intermission stats (killcount), monsters like lost souls don't die with this command because they don't have the killcount flag.
